1/10 Scale rolling motor stand
thingiverse
This stand is engineered specifically for a 1/12 scale motor developed by Dblnaknak and Novel Creations. It's fabricated using PLA at an infill rate of 30%. Assembly involves utilizing 2mm and 3mm screws. The bearings used are 10x3x4mm for the front wheels, 8x3x3mm for the spindle, 5x2x2.5mm for the front caster mounts, and 6x3x2.5mm for the rear wheels. Front wheels utilize the 10x3x4mm bearings that were readily available, allowing for a convenient source via online platforms or modification of files in tinkercad or alternative CAD programs if necessary. The motor mount serves as an approximate template estimate due to variance between printers; PLA is insufficient to support the motor's weight. To compensate, create a metal mount by finalizing hole locations on the template PLA motor mount and transferring those specifications to aluminum for a sturdy base. Ten millimeter spacers are used between the motor and the mount, secured with 3mm bolts. Three millimeter bolts fasten the mount to the motor, while two millimeter bolts secure the spindle flange spacer to the mount. A 43mm length of three millimeter steel rod connects the spindle flange spacer, requiring a precise hammering process to ensure a snug fit within the spindle flange spacer.
