The AIM-9L missile is a well known air-to-air missile designed and manufactured by the renowned Raytheon Defence company. Based on the AIM-9H and improved in every aspect, it combines an all-aspect IR seeker with a strong rocket motor and powerful fins to make this missile the perfect short range air-to-air ordnance. By allowing the seeker to be slaved to an onboard radar, it can be fired even at angles close to 45 degrees to the side of the aircraft, allowing for a good defence against threats. This 1-10 replica of the missile can be used as a decorative piece or scaled down for scale model usage. Though, please be aware that the design is intended to be printed in four parts in the original scale, so scaling it down may impact the detail level and may make it difficult to assemble. The individual pieces can be glued together to assemble the missile.
