Human: I created a 1/10 scale AGM-65 Maverick missile for the Freewing A-10 Thunderbolt II. My aim was to produce a stand-off scale version of the missile, offering flexibility in load out changes or replacing lost or damaged original missiles. The missile features a pocket for utilizing the mounting plate (Thing Number 2725747) designed by ShadowVFX. I tailored the parts to fit within a 150 mm cube size printer. I adjusted the Infill density from 15% to 3% to achieve a lighter design. My printer utilized a single hourglass shaped fill pattern. The final painted weight was 49 grams. To ensure successful printing, enable support for the first stage part as fins may not touch the build plate. Other parts do not require additional support. You need only print the lens part if using a clear vacuum formed nose cap. The lens part also fits on the front of the original foam missile with a clear nose cap in place. The printed nose cap can serve as a vacuum form plug to pull a clear nose cap. I added a new second stage with a slot accommodating the Freewing 90mm F-16 weapon attachment hardware.
