The primary drug was a powerful amphetamine known as Pervitin and was colloquially named by Luftwaffe Pilots as Stuka-Tabletten or, "Stuka-Tablets". The intended purpose of the drug was to induce extended wakefulness among the soldiers it was distributed to.
