These are used to from a dimpled hole that adds stiffness to sheet metal. This set is used for 1 1/2" diameter holes in sheet metal up to .125" thick. The sheet metal is sandwiched between the male and female dies and a hydraulic press is used to compress the dies together to form the dimple.
