I designed Octagonal Trapezohedron for the Sinterit Design Competition, pushing the limits of 3D printing. This intricate design can be scaled down to wear as a pendant or earrings, showcasing its complexity and beauty. By exposing the wireframe structure, I aim to reveal the intricacy of geometric forms and their underlying architecture. This project is part of my collection for the Math Art theme, where I strive to create numerous geometric shapes and their corresponding wireframe structures. The laser sintering process of 3D printing requires high accuracy, which makes it an ideal match for this design. Using Rhino with the plugin RhinoPolyhedra, I generated the edges, then refined them in Meshmixer to achieve a precise and detailed outcome.
