If you've ever tried turning on your car's A/C or heater and heard a clicking noise, it often means that one of your actuators has failed. Typically, one or more of the gears in the actuator give out, causing the motor to spin without registering any position change from the arm decoder inside the unit. This is the center gear used within an A/C door blend actuator found in 05-10 Ford Mustangs. Installing a replacement gear saves you money by not having to order a whole new actuator.
