Heptagonal Iris Toroid was crafted specifically for the Sinterit Design Competition. Entering a collection of innovative designs for the Math Art theme, my objective is to generate numerous geometric forms alongside their respective wireframe structures. Exposing the intricate wireframe structure that underlies each geometric form reveals just how complex and multifaceted these models can be, allowing me to harness the full potential of the laser sintering process in 3D printing due to its high accuracy requirements and lack of need for support material. I designed using Rhino with the plugin RhinoPolyhedra and then utilized Meshmixer to generate edges.
