The 00str00der is a belt-driven extruder developed through collaboration with Terawatt Industries (http://store.terawattindustries.com/77-00str00der-belt-driven-extruder.html). This versatile extruder can work with various 3D printers and is the standard extruder for the PrismX 3D printer. A video of it in action on the PrismX can be found here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vMh1Gb-snw). The 00str00der is compatible with Kuehling x-carriage mounts via an included adapter plate, and OpenSCAD source files are available on GitHub (https://github.com/iquizzle/00str00der). Pulley sizes are parametric to allow for flexibility in size selection. It also offers options for mounting J-head or push-to-connect tube adapters for Bowden extrusion. The 00str00der is designed to work with standard M8 hobbed bolts and has slotted motor mounts that accommodate NEMA17 motors, allowing for belt tensioning. Parts can be sourced online or purchased through Terawatt Industries' Kickstarter campaign (support now!). Required parts include a 5mm bore GT2 pulley (16T standard, 36T bowden), an 8mm bore GT2 pulley (65T standard, 60T bowden), a GT2 belt (88T standard, 94T bowden), a hobbed bolt, six 608 bearings, M4x50 screws for the Wade's idler clamping, standard Wade's hardware, and 4mm x 1/8 NPT push-to-connect (bowden). Print off the appropriate 00str00der block, drill/cut the filament hole slot, mount the NEMA17 motor with a small bore pulley, attach the hobbed bolt with bearings, clamp the large bore pulley onto the hobbed bolt, place the belt on the pulleys and tension it by pushing the motor back into the slot. Experimentation for Bowden setup gearing ratios may continue, but overall, this extruder has been tested and is performing well. STLs will be added to the repository as improvements are made.
