009 Rolling Stock Back to Back (B2B) Gauges

On some 009/H0e model railways there can be issue with incompatibility between older rolling stock or track. One of these issues can be the distance between the wheels, often referred to as back to back or B2B. These gauges were designed to provide a quick way of measuring this distance, without having to use a Vernier gauge. Please note that the widths produced by your printer assume that it is set up perfectly and in practice the actually widths printed might vary slightly. The most common B2B distances are included as STL files, but so is the FreeCAD source file. To create your own widths just change the length of the pad to the width that you want, and the value on the "Shapestring"
