0.8 MOD gear 60T, 30T & 54T (for ZWO EAF stepper motor)
prusaprinters
ZWO EAF (Electronic Automatic Focuser) is popular among astro-photographers, becasue it works fine and is relatively inexpensive. However, once it is attached to the focuser-axis after removing the turning knob of focusers, one looses the manual focus ability when no electricity is applied. This is a 0.8 MOD gear with 60 teeth, which can be fitted on the EAF of ZWO for adding the auto-focus functionality (via ASCOM compatible software such as NINA, SGP,…, etc.), or wirelessly controlled focusing (via, for example, Tilta Nucleus-M wireless lens motor https://tilta.com/shop/nucleus-m-motor-kit-i/ ) via the 0.8 Mod gear system, and also allowing manual focus by simply disengaging the motor. For installation, first fix one of the factory-provided flexible couplings via 2 grub screws on the 5mm motor axis, next push the 60T gear on the coupling and aligned the outer 2 holes of the coupling (with 2 grub screws inside) with 2 holes of the 60T gear. Finally, with the 2mm hex screwdriver inserted, slowly turn counter-clockwise of the 2 outer grub screws to fix the 60T gear on the coupling. (Note that one drawback is that the intersection angle between the 2 grub screws of axis-connectors, provided by ZWO EAF, is not perfectly right angle, some is about 90 degree, some is 95 degree, some is even around 100 degree)This motor assembly is then attached to the telescope via 15mm clamp system of photography. Note: since the c-c distance of 2 fixing holes of EAF is 22mm, one possible candidate is “CAMVATE Simple 15mm Single Rod Clamp (https://www.prusaprinters.org/print/124287/edit)".
