0.5in Hex Banana Collar for FRC

This is the second version of my print in place shaft collar for 0.5in hex shafts.I call this version the Banana collar!This new version is a total redesign of the old model, it improves the gripping force substantially and reduces the wear of the printed parts in operation, while still adding new features like a small lip that allows the collar to sit next to a bearing without causing extra friction.to print this model you do not need any supports and i recommend printing the model with a 0.2mm layer height. i would also recommend that you do not print this part out of PLA because of its low amount of creep resistance, which means that it will likely lose its gripping force faster that if it was printed out of PETG or ABS.after printing, you need to remove the small custom support that is printed between the two small protrusions that the lever(banana) presses upon.good luck and happy printing! i would like to thank my friend oz who made the animation and who i consoled with about the design.
