... The plugs can be pounded into the cut end of the pipe to allow you to screw on a finial. The STL file is for a finial with 1/4 by 20 pitch threads. I've included the OpenScad design files if you want to remake them with a different thread size.

I removed the top 2mm of the bottom so the lid would slip down just a bit so starting the threads is a little easier. Thanks PsychProd for the original!!
