We successfully apply our CT/MRI scan data extraction methods to animal research, such as examining the skull of the large marine bird, Brandt's Cormorant (Phalacrocorax Penicillatus). This model can be 3D printed or modified using any CAD software.

To create the model was used 3D Slicer, where the segmentation method, the attribute GrowFromSeeds, segmented the heart sections. Segmentation was performed from CT image in DICOM format. Subsequently, the proposed model was exported in STL format.
