  • Ema Stack stackable gadgets system
SummaryA while ago I had an idea to create a system of stackable gadgets that may be useful in many occasions. The idea is to have a battery pack that will have USB charger in it and contacts on top that may power other device(s). These other devices will hold using magnets. Top of the device will have contacts and magnets so more devices may be added. Those devices may be lantern/lamp, Bluetooth speaker, clock/barometer/thermometer, etc. All electronics is based on cheap widely available boards. As set will grow, I'm planning to add battery pack with built-in solar charger, possibly gesture control for lights, wifi / screen to display some information from internet, motions sensors, etc. The list may grow as far as the imagination goes. At this moment I have finished 2 versions of battery packs - bigger one for 6 x 18650 batteries and smaller one for 6 x 18350 batteries. I also designed "bottoms" for chargers with one and two USB ports, also have tiny lantern add-on. I use battery packs on a daily basis for about 2 months now. They are cool looking gadgets sitting on desktop. I found them to be little bit bulky to carry around. I will add list of materials / components used soon. I will also publish DesignSpart Mechanical source files. At this moment I'm looking for feedback from your guys. Does it worth to continue development? Will it be useful? Any ideas for improvement? Thanks! • Universal handlebar gadget mount
SummaryThis is a mount created to attach gadgets (like smartphones) to teh handlebar of a bicycle. The attached STL file has the dimensions of the Jiayu G3 and a 25mm diameter handlebar. These values can be customized in the openscad file. It works best with a silicon or rubber case for your gadget which provides enough grip. The dimensions tn the openscad file is including the case. Remember: everything on a bicycle vibrates. The version on the photos is not exactly the same as the model. I replaced the (tiny) screwhole with intentations for tie-wrap, to make it more universal.InstructionsMeasure your the width and depth of your gadget, including a rubber or silicon case. Maybe adjust the numbers down a little bit, ymmv. Measure the diameter of your handlebar. Maybe add a few milimeters to add a piece of rubber-ish material. Change the values in the openscad file, and axport to stl Print! See if your gadget fits inside. If it doesn't, increase the values in #1. If it does fit, but falls out too quickly, decrease those values. See if the mount fits around your bicycle handlebar. If it doesn't, increase the value in #2. If it does, see if you can use a tie-wrap to secure it. If it doesn't move, you're done. If it still moves, then you could either add a piece of rubber-ish material, or decrease the value in #2. Test your gadget in its new spot. Google Maps on Android has decent navigation for cyclists. The front-facing camera can also be very interesting (altough the vibration and wind can make the microphone useless).

  • Spector Gadget Fishing Pole
SummaryThe Spector Gadget Fishing Pole is an attachment for the Python Prosthetic hand by Aaron Brown of Axislab 3D. You can find this hand at:https://www.youmagine.com/designs/python-utility-hand-alternative-assistive-device I remember many a day going out with my father to go fishing at a local pond and wanted to design a project that could help disabled kids to enjoy the sport with their parents too. The idea here is to build a simple fishing pole that can be attached to the Python Prosthetic hand with minimal non-printed parts. I've included an .PDF file for the Assembly Instructions which includes a detailed Bill Of Materials. enable #enablecreatetime1 One future enhancement that I have been thinking of is trying to add a means to keep the reel from being free wheeling (similar to perhaps how a come-a-long has a gear that turns and a spring loaded catch). Maybe the community has other better ideas on that mechanism? Thanks.

  • Spector Gadget Multi Holder
SummaryThe Spector Gadget Multi Holder is an attachment for the Python Prosthetic hand by Aaron Brown of Axislab 3D. You can find this hand at:https://www.youmagine.com/designs/python-utility-hand-alternative-assistive-device The idea was to use two child locks you can find in most stores (I bought these at a 99 cent store). They would probably work better for smaller objects if you could cut more teeth into them. They are meant to be super glued into place. (You might be able to get away with drilling a small hole from the side and putting a screw in to hold them, but I am afraid that could interfere with the spring/button mechanism.) I would print the main and attach parts with supports. The knob part is best to print separately so that the threads come out right. Suggest printing at 0.2 mm layer height and 50% infill. The FreeCAD files are included. Please feel free to modify and share this design. Version 2 was not printed, it is the CAD picture. It was changed so that the distance between the locks is shorter (total length of the holder is now 120 mm). I also added another threaded block to the bottom of the attachment block to provide more strength to the assembly. enable #enablecreatetime1

Ball pen holder for notepad box memobox or cubes - best gadget ever! Summaryit's just another nice gadget for a thing that nearly everyone have. Kullihalter4.stl has an inner diameter of ~11,4mm and kullihalter5.stl an more common diameter of 10mm. If you're unsure print Kullihalter5.stlInstructionsYou can mount it on with the ball pen showing into the box or outside. If you work on place where it is very windy i prefer to install it on the inside, so it can work as a downholding weight, and the papers don't fly away

Galaxy Phone Battery Cases SummaryThese are cases to hold spare batteries for Samsung Galaxy S4/S5 phone batteries. I created them because I was concerned about shorting out the batteries as I carried them in my pocket. The Openscad files are parameterized so the can be easily modified to hold other batteries. There is also an option to add initials using Openscad font by Dippo, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9356 .
